We need your help Daevas! Our Localization Team has been delivered design documentation with an NPC whose name translates to "Shugonerk". Eww... Pretty basic right?! Let's have some fun and rename this NPC together!
We will be hosting a contest through our official Aion Discord to pick a new name for this NPC. Everyone can post 1 name only in the Discord channel "#name-that-shugo". After two rounds of voting, the winning name will be added to our localization documents and the NPC will carry that name in-game! Now is your chance to make a direct impact! See the details below.
How to Participate
Name Submissions: July 19 - July 23
Please make your name submissions in the #name-that-shugo Discord channel. Please only post 1 name only. That is one name suggestion per human.
Voting Round 1: July 24 - July 26
Browse through the finalized list of names in the #name-that-shugo channel and leave 1 emoji reaction on your favorite name submission. Please only post 1 emoji only. The five names with the most emojis will go on to the final Top 5 Round.
Top 5 Voting Period: July 27 - July 30 (before 1PM PDT maintenance)
The Top 5 names will be posted, and you must make your final emoji vote on your favorite.
Winner Announced: July 30 (after maintenance)
Rules
1. Please do NOT submit any inappropriate/suggestive names
2. Names can be simple, like Bob, or very complex / creative.
3. Names should generally work within the Aion universe, meaning they should NOT be based off people, events, etc. that you wouldn’t see in the Aion world. (For example: celebrities, historical figures, trademarks / brands, other video game characters)
4. Names should NOT be region, faction, or class specific. This character is to be enjoyed by everyone!
5. Make sure the name is not already an existing NPC’s name.
6. Do not name the Shugo Shugy-McShugoface
