Currency Policy Updates

To simplify players’ currency purchases and in-game purchases, we are making a small update to the value of NCoin and consolidating purchase options across our games on March 12, 2024.

The quick summary is:

  • Players will lose no value in the currency changes, and in fact, any existing NCoin balance will increase.
  • Players will have clearer options to purchase items.
  • A long-term currency expiration policy will be added, with any currency purchased before March 12, 2024 being granted 9 years of validity from that date.

Lineage II and Blade & Soul Currency

Effective date: March 12, 2024

  1. NCoin Value Adjustment
  • What’s the change?
    • Until now, one dollar could purchase approximately 80 NCoin. As of the effective date, one dollar can now purchase 100 NCoin.
  • What does that mean for the NCoin, codes, or coupons I already have?
    • We will automatically apply a 1.25 multiplier to your NCoin balance. That means for every 80 NCoin you have, you will be converted up to 100 NCoin.
    • Existing code or coupon products that players have purchased but not yet redeemed will also be converted up by that 1.25 multiplier.
      • As part of the redemption flow, you will see this change and your specific updated NCoin value explained again.
  1. NCoin Validity and Expiration Period
  • What’s the change?
    • Previously, NCoin never expired. To better manage our systems, we are implementing a paid NCoin validity period of 9 years.
  • What does that mean for the NCoin I already have in my account?
    • The 9-year timer will begin on March 12, 2024. Any currency purchased on or before that date will expire on March 12, 2033.
  • What does that mean for any NCoin I purchase after March 12, 2024?
    • Any currency purchased after March 12, 2024 will be valid for 9 years from the purchase date. After that, the NCoin will automatically expire.

AION Currency

Effective date: March 12, 2024

  1. Conversion and Value Change of Black Cloud Coin to NCoin
  • What’s the change?
    • Black Cloud Coin, a currency exclusive to the AION live server, will be converted to NCoin and can be used across other NC America PC games like Lineage II and Blade & Soul.
  • What does that mean for the Black Cloud Coin I already have?
    • Black Cloud Coin purchased before March 12, 2024 will be converted to NCoin automatically in your account at a rate of 80 Black Cloud Coin to 100 NCoin. This is a 1.25 value multiplier, in line with the NCoin changes listed in the Lineage II and Blade & Soul section.
    • Existing code or coupon products that players have purchased but not yet redeemed will also be converted to NCoin by that 1.25 multiplier.

  • What’s the change?
    • Previously, NCoin (formerly Black Cloud Coin) and Quna never expired. To better manage our systems, we are implementing a paid NCoin and Quna validity period of 9 years.
