Letter from the Producers
Greetings, Daevas.
Thank you for joining us for this special Producer’s Letter. Today, we’re going to go over both Aion and Aion: Classic to give you insight into what we’re listening to and working towards bringing to all of you in the future.
For Aion 8.2
With the Aion 8.2v update now live, we wanted to take some time to share information about what’s next for Aion and the actions we are taking to address player feedback.
We are acutely aware of the difficulties players are having due to the smaller number of Daevas currently residing within Atreia. We have also raised concerns internally surrounding a lack of content, which can be a factor that’s been exacerbating this problem. Those issues have us focused currently on how the release of newer content can affect our current player base and their progressions.
We are constantly trying to adjust each of these features to be fun and balanced as well as in alignment with player feedback we receive. We are also currently making a push to increase our release cadence to get us closer to the Korean service.
We will continue to listen to our players' feedback, and we will use it to hopefully make many future changes that players will enjoy. We will continue to do our best to bring you exciting content!
For Aion Classic: 2.0
We are currently preparing for the release of Aion 2.0: Stormwing’s Defiance! While we’re excited for its coming, we also wanted to acknowledge the issues you’ve helped us identify in Aion: Classic over the past year. These issues include server consolidation, server economy, AP trading, and difficulty completing content or joining PvP battlefields due to matchmaking problems.
There is no simple solution to remedy all of these at once, so we are making a great effort to attract new and returning users. We believe there are certain aspects currently making it too difficult to strengthen and grow as a Daeva, and will be continuously working to improve in each of these areas.
Along with the community, we have been constantly thinking about fortress sieges and battlefield schedules—some of the main content of Aion—and we hope that the upcoming sieges in Inngison and Gelkmaros will give players a new and enjoyable PvP experience.
The following fortresses will be available at the times below. Please send us your feedback via the forums if another time is preferable for you. We use player feedback, peak CCU times, and participation data to determine what times we feel are most appropriate. Again, your feedback is paramount in these decisions!

There is a massive amount of new content awaiting players in 2.0, such as the maximum level expanding to 55, dynamic field play in the newly added Balaurea, and many new instances! We are also preparing for Aion: Classic's 1st-anniversary activities in June!
We’d greatly love to hear about what you’re looking forward to in Aion 2.0: Stormwing’s Defiance!
Thank You
Finally, we wanted to express our sincere thanks to everyone who enjoyed or continues to enjoy Aion over the past 12 years.
We are working to show that Aion can constantly improve by listening to our players’ feedback, and we are making an extreme effort this year to prove it!
Sincerely,
The Aion Producers
